Viewing the Universe of Colour
An introduction to colour theory and models

As one moves around this sphere the colour at any point will be a function of the Hue value, the Saturation value, and the Value value! This means that all colours are located in this sphere somewhere and the way of deriving the colour at any point is made available by use of trigonometry.

This mathematical diagram shows us that the colour at a point P is a function of its distance from the centre and its angles from two of the axes.

Using these theories for determining colour within the sphere we have enabled the viewer to fly through this sphere of colour and explore the world of pure colour, which is available with digital technology at the start of the 21st Century.

The following images show something of the way in which the sphere is constructed and the views which the viewer will have.
